Maille Mustard gift Set Giveaway

I have long been a fan of Maille mustards. Their Dijons are my favorite: smooth and creamy with a nice pungent bite that doesn’t make your nose burn. I use Maille Dijon in my vinaigrette recipes and serve the mustard along side cured meats and pickles for an easy appetizer spread.

There is so much more to Maille than just their classic Dijon, which I discovered when Boutique Maille, their fancy mustard store, opened in my neighborhood on the Upper West Side last summer. (Since then, I’ve been a frequent visitor, each time sampling new flavors, such as dill and lime white wine, apricot and curry, candied orange peel and ginger and fancier mustard on tap).  I’ve used them to top salmon, grilled chicken and baked potatoes. I’ve even added some of the flavored mustard (like the basil and arugula) to omelets and quiches to add a bit of a bite.

Maille gift sets are my current go-to hostess gift. They have several different sets in the store, but their limited edition spring les Jardins Secrets des Chefs is particularly pretty and delicious.  The les Jardins set includes a carrot and shallot mustard, mustard with olives and herbes de Provence and a beet and honey mustard. The set comes beautifully packaged in a gift box that is pretty enough to keep and reuse. Making vinaigrette with any of these mustard flavors definitely ups your salad game for good and is a great gift for any mustard loving mom (like me!) for Mother’s Day.
